2017 Carver Center Celebration

Reigna won 1st place in her high school's senior Visual Arts contest for artwork to be featured as the face of the 2017 Carver Center Celebration!  Additionally, Reigna's oil painting, "Big Brother" under her "Tribe of One" series of 8 oil paintings was awarded a regional gold key this year by Scholastic Art & Writing and,it continues to be well received.

The Carver Center Celebration is the school's major annual fundraiser that is hosted by the Carver Parent Foundation. It is designed to be a fun evening that features each of the school's primes while guests enjoy a variety of food, spectacular entertainment and have an opportunity to bid on a wide array of prizes! This year's event was a hallmark occasion for Reigna and her parents, as her artwork marks not only the face of the 2017 event but, it is her last Carver Celebration prior to her graduation from Carver Center.

Reigna's "Big Brother - Tribe of One" painting dawned the magnets that were given out to guests as a complimentary gift.

Here, Reigna's winning artwork is featured on a custom tee-shirt accompanied by the artwork of other senior Visual Art students who were runners-up in the contest for the winning design.

Reigna is joined by her other Godbrother, Ethan, who is also featured in a portrait under Reigna's "Tribe of One" series.

A host of family and friends turned out at this year's Carver Celebration event to support Reigna and to celebrate with her, her tenure at Carver Center.  Here, Reigna's Mom is posed with her paternal grandparents.

Reigna is ecstatic to pose with her Uncle Todd, who is also her Godfather, who traveled from Salt Lake City, Utah, to support her and be a part of this momentous occasion.

Reigna is proud to share this event with Reverend Dr. Anthony Brown. Dr. Brown has invited Reigna for the past couple of years to be his youth guest artist for his annual "Sensational Night" musical concert in August at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts in Owings Mills, Maryland.

Reigna shares a moment with her cousin, Christine, who has always treated Reigna like her younger sister.

Reigna enjoys a moment cutting up with her mentor and renowned professional artist, Larry "Poncho" Brown.
